Stage 1 is for those who have little or no sailing experience whatsoever. It provides a fun introduction to the sport of sailing, and will teach you basic techniques to control the boat.
RYA Stage 3 carries on from the skills learnt on Stage 1 and 2 courses. It will teach you to sail both upwind and downwind more efficiently and work on improving tacking and gybing.
RYA Stage 4 is the last module in the Youth Sailing Scheme before progressing onto the advanced modules shared with the RYA National Sailing Scheme for adults. It is for many the first chance to have a go in a double handed dinghy such as a Wayfarer and to practise the skills learnt on previous courses in a different type of boat. It's a great course which includes learning to solve problems when afloat.
Our Junior Club Evenings are sessions which we run for Juniors and Youths who have some previous sailing experience, where they will be supervised and given hints and tips by an instructor - ideal for those wanting to practise skills learnt on a previous course.
