RYA Stage 1 + 2 Combined

For beginners with no or little sailing experience, we offer a 5 day course which covers both RYA Stage 1 and 2. Ideal for something to do during the holidays, our 5 day course will let both you and the kids have a great time!

Course Contents

  • Know about clothing & safety equipment
  • Be aware of the wind direction
  • Name the parts of the boat and know basic terminology
  • Help rig the boat
  • Control the boat's speed, stop, lie-to and get out of irons
  • Tack and Gybe
  • Sail in a figure-8 course across the wind under supervision
  • Tie commonly used knots
  • Have a Basic knowledge of Port / Starboard rule
  • Come alongside under supervision
  • Crew effectively
