We strongly recommend that you hold the items listed below on your boat for the duration of the course. If you cannot obtain all of the items on the list, we would be grateful if you would inform us prior to your course so that we are able to provide the essential items for the duration of the course.
Items required for own boat tuition:
- VHF / Mobile phone
- Lifejackets
- Full tank of fuel (plus spare)
- Boat & personal liability insurance
- Alternative Propulsion (paddles or auxillary engine)
- Anchor with sufficient chain / warp
- Bucket, bailer or bilge pump
- First aid kit
- Spare kill cord
- Engine spares
- Fire extinguisher
- Flares (2x orange smoke 2x red hand-held)
- Fenders
- Spare warps & lines
- Knife
- Boat hook
